Hello Wichita!
With much excitement, Ballet Wichita announces that its 2023 Ballet in the Park production will be A Fairy’s Tale, an original work created by David Justin!
A Fairy’s Tale follows the misadventures of a young girl destined to find true love and gain her wings. Born of magic, tragically lost, and determined to find her own way in the world; audiences will delight in the comedic telling of this story based on works by Hans Christian Anderson.
Auditions for A Fairy’s Tale will be held on April 15, 2023 at Ballet Wichita, 1600 W Douglas Ave. We expect to perform this amazing show for local communities the weekends of September 14-17 and September 21-24. Dancers will need to be available for both weekends to be considered for roles in this production.
Types of Roles Available
There are both pointe and non pointe roles in this production. If you want to be considered for a pointe role, you must audition en pointe. Please keep in mind there are limited pointe roles in this production.
There will also be limited adult character roles. Please email Katie Andrusak, k.andrusak.balletwichita@gmail.com, to let her know of your desire to be considered for one of those character roles. Auditioning will not be required for those roles.
