Let’s try something a little more fun and challenging as you expand your sewing skills:
Here are the options I am offering:
1) Zipper Pouch–basic pouch with a single zipper. This is the perfect next class after making a pillow for novice students.
2) Zipper Pouch 2.0–a pouch with double zippers and a couple of other more advanced techniques.
3) Cloth Napkins–dinner or cocktail napkins. And a chance to use the serger;
4) Unpaper towels–making these is another opportunity to use the serger;
5) Fabric Gift Bags–I made these myself for Xmas presents this past year;
6) Wine Gift Bags–These fabric gift bags are great for gifting a bottle of wine;
7) Bowl Cozies– practical can be fun!
8) Ballet Wrap Skirts; and
9) Pajama pants/shorts.
The cost for these 2 hour Workshops is $25.00. I prefer to teach these projects on the machines I have available but will consider assisting you learn how to operate your home machine. And if you have a serger sit unused at home, maybe we can figure out together how to use it!
I’ve set up multiple sessions over Tuesday evenings with a couple of weekend options.
If perhaps you are wanting to do your own Group of 4-5 people, let me know and we can see if we can set up a time for your specific Group. Otherwise, I hope you make new friends getting to know your fellow new Sewists.
These Workshops are open to ages 12 and up but if you have someone below the age of 12 ready to expand their skills and learn, please reach out to me at jdoran727@gmail.com. I have taught younger than 12 and am open to it under the right circumstances and setting.
