BWI’s 2021 Winter Intensive

Overview

This 3-day intensive is open to any serious dance student in the Wichita area ages 10 and up. Classes are of a pre-professional caliber, with an Intermediate and Advanced level offered. Students are free to enroll in 1, 2, or all 3 days, with a special discount applicable for those who enroll for the full intensive.

Cost

$30/day for each participating dancer
$80 for all 3 days

Levels

The Intermediate intensive is open to all dance students ages 10-15 with at least 1 year of ballet training experience. Ladies may be at a pre-pointe or beginning pointe level.

The Advanced intensive is for serious dancers ages 14+ with at least 3 previous years of ballet training, and ladies must be proficient en pointe (2 years of experience recommended, but not required). Men should be capable of partnering work.

Attire

Women: Solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers or pointe shoes. Leggings, jazz pants, black tights, form fitting tops, and other activewear are acceptable for classes other than ballet.

Men: Solid color shirt, black tights or form fitting pants, ballet slippers. Jazz pants, joggers, t-shirts, and other activewear are acceptable for classes other than ballet.

COVID-19 Policies

Students are required to wash their hands upon entering the building and to wear a mask or face covering at all times while in the BW studios. Social distancing is expected to be maintained to the extent possible while participating in classes. BW asks that parents not enter the building so as to limit the occupancy of the studios. Barres, floors, and other high-contact surfaces are disinfected between classes and at the end of the day.
